Zum II 0-4 Samba

This afternoon the KidSuper Samba first team played its final friendly of the 2020-21 preseason, traveling to Zum Schneider FC on Roosevelt Island.

Our first team controlled the pace of play from the start against Schneider II. Three under 20 players started the match for Samba: Yoro Wade, Jermaine Hue Jr., and Rijon Harrison.

Elhadj Diallo once again began the scoring, rounding the keeper after running onto a through ball over the top from central defender Mamadou Dioubate. Alhoussain Bah and Jermaine Hue Sr. went on to steal the show as the Samba Boys added two more goals before the intermission. For the second goal of the day, Bah both built the play and finished it off himself after combining with several players on a run in from the left, assisted by Rijon Harrison, and then found a Hue Sr. run for the third.

In the second half Hue Sr. turned provider for Bah who rounded the keeper before calmly slotting home to finish the scoring. A fifth goal, scored by player-coach Jonathan Jackson from a Rijon Harrison cross, was ruled offside.
