Samba 4-1 Celtic

This afternoon the KidSuper Samba first team continued its preseason, hosting the familiar foe Manhattan Celtic FC on Randall’s Island.

Braces from Elhadj Diallo and Serigne Kasse saw off the well organized opposition.

Elhadj Diallo began the scoring, tucking home a low cross from Mame Amar in the first half. Celtic equalized right before the halftime whistle after a mistake in the back by Samba. In the second half the Samba Boys ramped up the scoring as Elhadj Diallo finished off the rebound from a shot by Ousman Sillah, before Serigne Kasse lobbed the opposition keeper following a Celtic mistake, and then tucked home a ball across the six yard box from Mame Amar to round things out.

Club debuts were made by Rijon Harrison, Abdoulaye Toure, Gerson Gonzalez, and Fabian Carrasco.
