White Plains 1-4 Samba u19

This morning the young Samba kids recorded their first ever win, dispatching White Plains 4-1 on Randall’s Island.

Dustin Ramirez once again got Samba on the board with an unassisted goal in the first half that he drilled into the lower right corner. Kourouma Bangaly then chipped the White Plains keeper on his debut off a feed from Hameed Gado. When White Plains brought the score to 2-1, one could perhaps have been forgiven for thinking that another collapse was on the cards today.

Instead the two Samba co-captains Douglas Carrasco and Rijon Harrison connected in the first few minutes of the second half to give the Boys a 3-1 advantage, and they never looked back. Soon after, Hameed Gado tallied his second assist of the day on the talismanic Harrison’s second goal as KidSuper ran out 4-1 winners on the day.
