Asphalt Green 3-3 Samba u19

The first ever match for the club’s youth team saw the talented young Samba kids waste multiple leads and fall to a draw in their opening match at the SBU Showcase.

Dustin Ramirez got Samba on the board with a lovely unassisted goal in the first half, a period in which Samba largely dominated but ultimately failed to capitalize on their superiority. Captain Rijon Harrison then drilled home an unassisted goal in the second half to put Samba ahead 2nil. AG immediately drew the game back to 2-1 but Harrison found teammate Yoro Wade for the Samba third.

A disappointing collapse resulted in Asphalt Green pulling back to 3-3 and ultimately the young Samba Boys were unable to find a winning goal. Tomorrow they will look to regroup against White Plains.
