Samba 2-3 Zum

The Samba Boys fell flat Sunday night on Roosevelt Island, falling to local city rivals Zum Schneider as off field issues continue to hold back the talented team.

Samba once again allowed their opponents to jump out to a 2nil lead as late arrivals and no shows forced late lineup adjustments. Amara Sesay clawed one back right before half off a cross from strike partner Kamal Sabar.

A few minutes after half, Camary Jonas whipped home a brilliant free kick to restore parity. Unforunately, there was not a second straight comeback on the cards as Zum found their resolve to go back in front 3-2 and ultimately held out for all three points. It should be a difficult night to forget for Samba and a lesson for the young team going forward as they seek to get their season back on track.
