Samba II 5-3 Pancyprians O30

Samba II recorded its first ever competitive victory two nights ago on Randall’s Island, dispatching with an experienced Pancyprians Over-30 squad behind three assists from Kebba Danso.

The young Samba Boys began quickly, getting out to an early lead courtesy of Yarlen Guity from Kebba Danso. Pancyprians equalised, sending the game into halftime at 1-1.

The second half saw six goals shared between the two teams. Kebba Danso was quickly at it again after the intermission, again feeding his partner in crime Guity. The wily old Cypriots again equalized at 2-2, before Danso recorded his third assist dishing to youngster Yoro Wade, one of the top players in the club’s under 19 team. Wade struck again with an unassisted tally, finally putting Samba in the ascendancy at 4-2. Pancyprians old boys pulled it to 4-3 before target man Ulises Gomez Palacios put the game beyond doubt with an unassisted goal.
