Samba 3-0 NYAC

Two nights ago in Yonkers the Samba Boys ran out with another 3nil victory in the EPSL, spurred on by the club’s attacking quartet of young Jamaican starlets.

The main man Deandre Gordon again got the squad rolling in the fifth minute of the game, assisted by former ASA College and 2018 NJCAA All Region teammate Daquan Brown. It was Gordon’s seventh goal of the season in only his third game.

In the 48th minute Brown again played provider to gift Samba a two goal advantage, this time finding 18 year old Jamaican wonderkid Rijon Harrison. Harrison has now recorded three goals in the EPSL this season, a welcome turn of events as he has missed out on his senior season of high school soccer for Tilden HS (Brooklyn) after leading the city in goals last fall as an eleventh grader. In the 67th minute Gordon found big man Camary Jonas for a backpost header as the former MLK HS teammates completed the rout in rousing fashion, putting on an all-Jamaican goal show in the process.
