Brooklyn City 2-1 Samba II
A very poor evening for the young Samba second team saw them blow a halftime lead and lose 2-1 out in Coney Island two nights ago.
The Samba youngsters had multiple opportunities to turn this game into a blowout in the first half, first hitting the post, Sadegh Asgari missing a finish on the goal line, and Dustin Ramirez failing to capitalize after being played in one on one with the Brooklyn City keeper. Still, it was Samba who led 1-0 at the intermission thanks to persistent work from Samba strike duo Ulises Gomez Palacios and Yarlen Guity.
A disastrous five minute spell in the second half saw Cleefor Hernandez expelled for a red card after impeding young Brooklyn City forward Stann Louis Jeune, and then Jeune go on to record two goals right in front of a sleeping Samba defense. Jeune would later be thrown out of the match himself for a second yellow as the match dissolved into recklessness and both teams finished on ten men.
