NYIFC 3-2 Samba II

It was a poor day on Randall’s Island Sunday morning as the Samba second team wasted a second half lead and fell to a disappointing loss.

The hosts NY International got the ball rolling with an early goal over fill-in keeper William Caverly, as regular netminder Vadim Seliankin was late to the pitch. Tomas Trejo, courtesy of captain Caetano Sanchez, equalized for the guests before half in his club debut.

The second half was a strange one as our Samba Boys managed to go ahead 2-1 again through Tomas Trejo, from a Dustin Ramirez corner kick flicked on by towering center back Mohammedau Sow, dominate the half, and then capitulate to a 3-2 loss.
