Samba 0-1 (aet) CPR

The Samba Boys dropped an extremely tight Manning Cup first round result to EPSL rivals Central Park Rangers last Sunday October 15th on Randall’s Island.

Samba probably had the better of the affair in the first half but both teams did well as the game went into intermission at 0-0.

Again, the second half was very similar and Mamadou Bah missed a golden chance to put Samba ahead.

CPR scored a spectacular overhead bicycle kick in the first period of extra time that stunned the entire field after KidSuper had failed to properly clear the ball.

Samba had a few chances to equalize and push the game to penalties but ultimately fell 1nil over 120 minutes of action in an extremely tight affair to a worthy CPR side.
