Pancyprians 5-2 Samba
The Samba boys returned to the pitch for the first time in two months on Thursday night, dropping an early preseason result to the Cypriots at Astoria Park.
Samba went ahead early through Camary Jonas, who was fed by veteran outside back Moussa Sinera. Unfortunately Pancyprians were allowed to equalize immediately and eventually went ahead 2-1. After Jonas went off injured and no one was subbed in to replace him, Samba conceded 2 goals in 2 minutes in the dying moments of the first half while unnecessarily playing with ten men to fall behind 4-1.
Amara Sesay tee’d up Ebrima Jallow right away after the intermission to draw the game back to 4-2, before a Pancyprians attacker chipped Samba keeper Etan Mabourakh from deep to add their fifth.
Several trialists made debuts for KidSuper.
